Great BSM Bake Off

What is it: A fundraiser for student missions that partners BSM students and adults from local churches to compete in a baking competition.

When is it: Feb. 18.

  • The competition will be Feb. 18. Submissions must be in place and setup at the BSM by 2:30 pm. The event starts at 3:00 and judging will begin at 3:30.

  • The competition will be Feb. 18. Submissions must be in place and setup at the BSM by 2:30 pm. The event starts at 3:00 and judging will begin at 3:30.

Instructions:

  • Can register as an individual or a team. We encourage BSM students and adults from churches to work together, but it’s not required.

  • Prepare a homemade, baked masterpiece such as a cake, bread, or pastry. It can be sweet or savory.

  • Your baked masterpiece must be brought to the BSM fully cooked. If required, you can assemble your piece for display once you arrive.

  • In addition to your showpiece, please bring enough additional samples for about 50 people.

Judging:

  • A panel of judges will determine the overall winner based on taste (70%) and presentation (30%).

  • Bake-off attendees will also vote for a People’s choice award.

Fundraiser:

  • During the Bake Off event, showpieces will be auctioned (silent auction style).

  • Also, a coffee bar will be available (donation based).

  • General donations for missions will be available.

Program:

  • Judging and presentation or awards.

  • Student testimonies and missions information.

  • Invitation to support through the auction, coffee bar, and general donations.
